After three years, Wednesday has new episodes premiering in August, and Netflix has provided a first look at the second season.
Once again, Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) is attending school at Nevermore Academy and back to living with her bubbly werewolf roommate Enid (Emma Myers). Last time, she uncovered a series of gruesome deaths connected to her parents’ time at the school during their youth, and this new season has a new mystery for her to solve. Other season one characters like Bianca and Tyler appear in the trailer, as do the rest of the Addams Family.
Previously, Ortega said season two wouldn’t keep Wednesday tangled up in romance stories (which she wasn’t a fan of) and lean more into horror. “She’s off boys for a while,” said Ortega back in 2023, and it probably helps that Xavier, a season one love interest played by Percy Hynes White, isn’t coming back. There’s some big new faces this season: along with Steve Buscemi, both Thandiwe Newton and Lady Gaga will guest star.
Like Netflix’s The Sandman, season two of Wednesday drops in two parts: the first releases August 6, followed by the second September 3.
