Multiple people are behind bars after police found over 100 grams of drugs in a stolen vehicle

It’s clear these people were apart of a large operation.

Police officers never know what they may find during a traffic stop. Of course, everything could be normal, or they could unearth an illegal drug empire. This is what happened recently in South Carolina when police pulled over a group of car theft suspects who happened to have more drugs in the vehicle than anyone would have guessed.

Not only did they commit car theft, but a traffic stop found other illegal activity

According to WSPA 7 News, police officers in Anderson County, South Carolina, recently conducted a traffic stop on an Infiniti G25. It’s unknown why they engaged with the driver, but it’s believed the vehicle had been reported for car theft. Of course, the police on the scene began by taking identifying information from the driver and the passengers. Three people were in the vehicle: Cheyenne Poteat, Jonathan Riley, and Braydon Wilson.

As is often the case with a traffic stop, the police searched the vehicle. During the search, they found what was described as “a multi-colored bag” that had a large amount of drugs in it. Specifically, the bag contained 10 grams of meth and 113 grams of cocaine. Police also found several guns and 11 different cell phones in the vehicle.

Following the traffic stop, the police officers took all three people to jail. They are being charged with trafficking meth and cocaine, receiving stolen goods, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Notably, the two men said they had only known one another for a day and met on Instagram. The bond amount is unknown at this time.
