10 Nordstrom Spring Travel Clothes Under $100

Every spring, I’m struck with the uncontrollable urge to shop. Usually, this results in an influx of pieces I wear once or twice that inevitably gather dust in the back of my closet after realizing I’ve once again fallen victim to short-lived trends. But, not this year. In a bid to craft a seasonal wardrobe complete with versatile, multi-functional essentials I’ll easily be able to style for my upcoming travels, I turned my sights to Nordstrom to pick out 10 items I can mix and match, regardless of my destination — and actually continue wearing for longer than just a season.

If you’re also looking for flattering, packable additions to your wardrobe that will keep you looking on-trend and feeling comfortable while traveling this spring (think linen pants, comfy footwear, and matching sets), read on to find my top selections from Nordstrom, all under $100. From sightseeing to nice dinners, here you’ll find closet must-haves for every occasion, all of which can upgrade your packing list without throwing your travel budget to the wind.

Edikted Relaxed Lightweight Sweater

Nordstrom

Perfect for transitioning out of winter and into warmer months, this lightweight, breathable knit is sure to become a go-to layer from the airport to a night out during vacation. Wide, flowy sleeves will never restrict my movement, and they add unique shape to this simple piece. The dropped shoulders exude a casual coolness to instantly upgrade even my simplest travel outfits. Whether I wear it with linen pants, denim, or even a maxi skort, it’s safe to say I’ll never run out of new ways to wear this breezy layer.

Caslon Tapered Linen Pants

Nordstrom

The hype around linen pants is well-deserved, so I’ll be adding this pair from Caslon to my collection this spring while it’s on sale for $45. The adjustable drawstring waistband is among the highlights of these cooling, effortless pants, but the flowy cut along with the simple, cropped finish are up there, as well. The neutral tan shade will match easily with everything in my suitcase, from flowy button-downs to my favorite sweaters, and I love that they’ll look just as great styled with sneakers as they would sandals. They even come in petite sizes so I can finally avoid the faux pas of having excess fabric dragging behind me.

Béis Belt Bag

Nordstrom

Traveling with a belt bag is one of the best ways to keep your hands free and your critical documents and cards close to the chest (literally). The back of the bag is fitted with a roomy pocket — the perfect spot to store my passport without worrying about being pickpocketed. As an added bonus, it comes with a detachable card pouch that can be secured inside the bag with a handy key leash. Above all, it still boasts a slim design as well as a comfy, adjustable strap, so I don’t have to worry about a bulky bag bogging me down during travel days.

Steve Madden Verdict Mesh Sneakers

Nordstrom

These low-profile sneakers aren’t just comfortable — they’re also a stylish and breathable addition to my spring footwear collection, and the simple brown color will match with everything I decide to pack for my next trip. The mesh paneling will keep my feet cool despite rising temperatures, and the multi-colored laces easily set them apart from other sneakers in my closet. If I’m not wearing them during a travel day, the lightweight design will take up minimal space in my suitcase. And if you’re not into neutrals, these shoes are also available in 10 other shades from vibrant red to yellow and black.

Petal & Pup Silvie Wide Rib Sweater Tank and Straight-leg Pants

Nordstrom

I’ve wanted to jump on the matching set train all winter long, but now that it’s warm outside, I’m ready to invest in the trend ahead of my seasonal travels, too. This stylish knit pairing from Petal & Pup is available for $99 in a gorgeous tan shade, and while the ribbed pants and accompanying tank will undoubtedly look great together, they’ll also be easy to style separately throughout my trip. The lightweight, effortless design will make for both the perfect airport outfit and a stylish pick for a nice dinner out, and the elastic waistband solidifies them as a comfy yet fashionable investment.

Levi’s Cotton Twill Utility Jacket

Nordstrom

I’ve always struggled to find a spring jacket that keeps me adequately warm during chilly days without ruining my outfit, but after laying eyes on this boxy utility jacket with a corduroy collar, I think it’s a match made in heaven. Oversized, cropped cuts are ultra-popular with outerwear right now, but the simple brown color and no-frills design makes me confident it will actually be a timeless addition to my closet that I’ll reach for year after year. It’s lightweight enough to pack into a carry-on while traveling without taking up too much space (using packing cubes, of course), and the accent of the collar sets it apart from other utility jackets. It’ll look great over my favorite flowy maxi dresses, jeans, and even a matching set for a monochromatic moment.

Wayf Martini Linen Blend Minidress

Nordstrom

As soon as the weather warms up, I’ll always skip shorts in favor of a flouncy dress. Maxi, midi, or mini, they all have a spot in my closet, but I’m especially enamored with this linen-blend dress for spring, especially for my upcoming trips. The drop-waist cut is different from anything else I have in my closet, yet the shape is relatively classic, lending itself to a multitude of styling options. I trust that the linen fabric will keep me cool and comfortable regardless of the weather, and while I adore the ivory shade, it’ll be difficult to stop myself from snagging this wardrobe staple in the blue and red colors, as well. In fact, either shade will be ideal for any of the bachelorette events I have coming up this season.

Rothy’s The Square Mary Jane

Nordstrom

The Mary Jane shoe trend has carried into yet another spring, and seeing as my go-to pair is on its last leg, I’m in the market for something new. Luckily, the shopper-loved Rothy’s Square Mary Jane’s are currently on sale for under $100 in an adorable baby pink, and I feel confident they’ll be a valuable addition to my travel wardrobe thanks to their machine washability and packable design. The flexible, spacious toe boxes leave plenty of room for my feet to sit comfortably, plus they’re just dressy enough to style for multiple occasions throughout a trip. Best of all, they match with everything else on this list, so I know they’ll get plenty of wear.

Mango Cotton Blend Sweater Jacket

Nordstrom

If it’s too warm to wear a jacket, I still always like to come prepared with a cardigan or cozy sweater. However, during a recent appraisal of my closet, I was struck by the realization that I don’t actually have any cream-colored sweaters lightweight enough for warmer weather, so this cotton-blended piece from Mango will fill a gap in my wardrobe. The vintage-inspired cardigan is adorned with ornate silver buttons down the front, complete with a simple crewneck cut that can be worn open over a plain tee or buttoned up on its own. Thanks to its thicker nature, I can rely on it to keep me warm inside an air conditioned airplane cabin, and it even comes in an impressive size range from 2XS to 3X.

Loveappella Roll Top Maxi Skirt

Nordstrom

A flowy maxi skirt is one of the easiest pieces to quickly style and run out the door in. Since there’s no time to waste while traveling, it’s an invaluable addition to my suitcase. Made with a breathable, stretchy jersey fabric and a thick elastic waistband, this maxi skirt is equal parts comfortable and fashionable, and I just know I’ll be much happier wearing it than a pair of shorts or jeans. With a casual look that appears cool without trying too hard, it’s available in six timeless, neutral shades (although I’ll be snagging it in simple black). Whether I’m sightseeing or preparing to gorge myself on a hearty vacation dinner, this stretchy skirt is about to become my go-to pick.
