11,676 Units Out the Door: Nissan December 2024 Sales/ Dispatch Snapshot
Nissan reported total wholesale dispatches of 11,676 units in December 2024. Domestic sales accounted for 2,118 units, while export volumes reached 9,558 units. This marked Nissan’s best-ever December sales performance, with export sales driving growth.
Nissan December 2024 sales (Export) for December 2024 experienced 72 percent year-on-year growth. Compared to November 2024, export sales rose by 43 percent, indicating sustained momentum in international markets. However, domestic sales for CY 2024 saw a 3.54 percent decline compared to CY 2023, to reflect a shifting focus toward export-driven growth.
Domestic Numbers Dip, Exports Soar: Nissan’s Annual Sales Split
Nissan recorded total sales of 91,184 units in CY 2024, with 62,175 units exported. Domestic sales contributed 29,009 units to the annual total. This contrasts with CY 2023, where exports stood at 31,667 units. The FY YTD 2024 export figure reached 51,764 units, demonstrating Nissan’s strategic focus on global markets.
New Nissan Magnite has garnered over 10,000 bookings since its October 2024 launch. Cumulative sales of the Nissan Magnite surpassed 150,000 units. Its popularity in both domestic and international markets has been steady. Over 2,700 units were shipped to South Africa within a month of launch, reinforcing its global appeal.
Global Footprint Grows

Nissan Magnite is now available in over 45 additional international markets. This includes the launch of the left-hand drive version in South Africa, aligning with Nissan’s commitment to expanding its global footprint. Expansion supports Nissan’s goals for higher export volumes and increased market penetration.
Dealership and Infrastructure Growth
Nissan opened new dealership locations in Nashik and Gorakhpur as part of its goal to establish 300 touchpoints in India by FY 2024. These additions aim to enhance customer accessibility and strengthen Nissan’s presence.

Training and Workforce Development
The inauguration of the Nissan Academy at the Alliance JV plant in Chennai marks a significant step in workforce development. This facility focuses on technical training and skill enhancement for employees and dealer partners, ensuring alignment with Nissan’s global standards.
Nissan Magnite offers over 20 segment-first features and a total of 55+ safety features. These include advanced driver assistance systems, enhancing safety and comfort for customers. Its design and functionality cater to the needs of a diverse customer base across multiple markets. Nissan leverages India’s manufacturing capabilities to support its global operations. The left-hand drive markets represent a key area of focus for future export growth.
