After capturing significant attention in 2024 with launches like the Thar Roxx and electric SUVs such as the XEV 9e and BE 6, Mahindra is poised to sustain its momentum in 2025. The automaker plans to introduce a mix of electric SUVs, updates to its internal combustion engine (ICE) lineup, and an eagerly anticipated pickup truck. Here’s a look at Mahindra’s expected launches for the upcoming year.
XEV 7e
The production-spec Mahindra XUV700 EV, or XEV 7e, has already been leaked, showcasing a design inspired by the XEV 9e. The all-electric SUV is expected to offer premium features like a triple-screen layout, multi-zone climate control, and ADAS. With 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs, the XEV 7e is expected to deliver a range of up to 650 km, making it a strong contender in the premium electric SUV segment.
XUV 4XO EV / XEV 4e
The all-electric version of the XUV 3XO, possibly called the XUV 4XO EV or XEV 4e, is set to debut in early 2025. Spotted testing recently, it will likely share styling and features with the XUV 3XO. Expected to offer 34.5 kWh and 39.5 kWh battery pack options, the XUV 4XO EV could deliver a range comparable to the XUV400 EV, with prices slightly above the current model’s range of Rs 16.74–17.69 lakh (ex-showroom).
Thar 3-Door Facelift
Following the launch of the 5-door Thar Roxx, Mahindra is gearing up to introduce a facelift for the 3-door Thar. The refreshed model is likely to feature styling updates like a revised grille, LED DRLs, and new alloy wheels, along with an upgraded cabin. Engine options will include a 1.5-litre diesel, 2.2-litre diesel, and 2.0-litre turbo-petrol, retaining its off-road capabilities.
Production-Spec BE 07
Mahindra’s “Born Electric” range will expand with the BE 07, a premium electric SUV with a 5-seat configuration. Based on the 2022 BE 07 concept, the production model will feature a futuristic design and share powertrain options with the XEV 9e. Its launch will mark a major milestone in Mahindra’s electrification journey.
Scorpio N Pickup
Mahindra is set to add a rugged pickup truck to its Scorpio N lineup. Likely available in single-cab and double-cab configurations, the Scorpio N Pickup will cater to both lifestyle and commercial buyers. Expected features include a robust chassis, advanced off-road capabilities, and modern amenities, ensuring it appeals to a wide range of users. It will be offered in the same petrol and diesel engine options as existing Scorpio N.
Model Year Updates for Scorpio N and XUV700
Scorpio N: Likely to receive new features, including ADAS, while retaining its 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines. Prices currently range from Rs 13.85 lakh to Rs 24.54 lakh (ex-showroom).
