Russian strikes on the Ukrainian city of Sumy killed at least 20 people on the morning of Palm Sunday, local officials report.
Videos circulating on social media shows the aftermath of the attack on the city centre.
“On this bright Palm Sunday, our community has suffered a terrible tragedy,” Artem Kobzar said in a statement on social media. “Unfortunately, we already know of more than 20 deaths.”
Palm Sunday is a Christian holiday celebrated a week before Easter. Many Ukrainians attend church on the holiday.
