Manchester United could be prepared to swap Marcus Rashford to land Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins this summer, according to Daily Star.
The Red Devils loaned out Rashford to Villa last winter. He has been in impressive form for the Midlands outfit with nine goal contributions.
Villa have the option to purchase him for £40m, but reports claim that United could propose a different deal in order to sign Watkins this summer.
The Red Devils are ready to include Rashford alongside significant cash to recruit Watkins, who has 16 goals and 13 assists in the current season.
Arsenal were interested in the 29-year-old marksman last winter. Their £40 million transfer proposal fell short of the reported £60m valuation.
Watkins will turn 30 in December this year, but he is still one of the best strikers in the Premier League. He would be a good signing for United.
If Watkins were to join United, it could coincide with the departure of Rasmus Hojlund, who has been linked with a Serie A return.
