Manchester United have joined Liverpool and Manchester City in the race to sign RB Leipzig attacker Xavi Simons this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
The Red Devils are preparing for a busy summer transfer window and the club could make multiple signings to bolster their attacking department.
A versatile forward could be one of the priorities and reports claim that the Red Devils have had some contact with the entourage of Simons.
The Dutchman had an ankle injury in the first half of the campaign, but he has recovered well to register 10 goals and six assists in 29 games.
His form has been superb since the turn of the year. Simons can play anywhere in the final third and fits perfectly into Ruben Amorim‘s plans.
Leipzig signed the attacker on a permanent deal from Paris Saint-Germain for £48m in January and they will expect a profit to sanction his sale.
It is anticipated that Simons could cost upwards of £60m this summer.
