With an ex-showroom price ranging from Rs 8 lakh to Rs 15.77 lakh, the New Sonet has established itself as one of the best-selling sub-4-meter SUVs in India, averaging around 10,000 units sold every month. Its impressive performance in the market underscores its popularity among modern SUV buyers seeking a blend of style, features, and value.
Petrol Variant β Most in Demand
The Sonet is available with petrol and diesel engine options, catering to diverse customer preferences. Transmission choices include manual, intelligent manual transmission (IMT), torque converter automatic (TC), and dual-clutch automatic (DCT), offering flexibility to suit various driving needs.
The petrol variants constitute 76% of total sales, while diesel variants account for the remaining 24%. Automatic and IMT variants contribute significantly, making up 34% of overall sales, reflecting the growing demand for convenience-oriented transmissions. Moreover, the variants equipped with a sunroof are particularly popular, comprising 79% of the total sales.
Top Safety with ADAS
Kia has designed the Sonet with a strong focus on customer-centric innovation, offering best-in-class features such as 15 robust safety features, 10 ADAS Level 1 features, and over 70 connected car technologies. This feature-rich compact SUV also boasts some of the lowest maintenance costs in its segment, with petrol and diesel variants being 16% and 14% more cost-effective than the segment average, respectively. Buyers can further personalize their Sonet with five interior color options and a variety of exterior finishes, including eight monotone, two dual-tone, and one matte finish colour.
