If you thought there couldn’t possibly be any more archival footage to memorialize Beatlemania Peter after Peter Jackson’s 3-part docuseries, Disney+ would like to have a word. The long-awaited Martin Scorsese-produced “Beatles ’64” is finally available to stream online.

Plus, the Disney+ Hulu bundle is now only $2/month for the 12 months with this Cyber Monday deal, a 70% discount.

Directed by David Tedeschi, the film brings back the tears of hysteria that accompanied the band’s every move in the U.S. upon their arrival on American shores at the beginning of 1964, and even generates some fresh tears from some of its contemporary interview subjects, who tell how the band’s advent changed their lives.

The curated footage, originally shot by cinéma verité legends David and Albert Maysles, chronicles the three weeks the Beatles spent in the U.S. starting in February of 195 They came to New York to perform on “The Ed Sullivan Show” (their first appearance on the show was Feb. 9). They then took a train to Washington, D.C., to give a concert at the Washington Coliseum, then flew to Miami Beach, where they did their second “Ed Sullivan” appearance.

“The powerful pull of ‘Beatles ’64,’” writes Variety chief film critic Owen Glieberman, “is that it takes this fabled, high-swoon moment of pop-music history, almost all of which we now view through a mythological lens, and humanizes it in an exhilarating way.”
