As an officially registered gallery, Andaz West Hollywood has come to be known for its diverse assortment of pop-up exhibits by guest artists and curators. Rotated every three months, this unique offering underscores the hotel’s deep roots in Hollywood’s creative industry along with its mission to be ever-evolving.

In addition to currently housing artist Pete Kasprzak’s “Is L.A.” exhibit honoring the city of Los Angeles, the hotel’s Sunset Strip location just wrapped up an immersive collaboration with Chicago-born, L.A.-based contemporary artist Hebru Brantley, known for his narrative-driven mixed-media work influenced by graffiti, anime, pop art and Afrofuturism. Some notable collectors of Brantley’s work include Jay-Z and Beyoncé, LeBron James and Lenny Kravitz.

From the end of March through early April, Brantley transformed one of the WeHo hotel’s premium suites into what could be considered an experiential gallery — a residence filled with Brantley’s newest characters decorating the walls, the furniture, the blankets and pillows, the rugs, the robes and so on. The Andaz x Hebru Brantley “Away We Go” experience then moved to the hotel’s Amsterdam Prinsengracht location through the end of last week and, now, will occupy Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills through April 23.

Adding to the interactive nature of the partnership, visitors leave their vacation with a package of limited-edition “Away We Go” keepsakes, available exclusively to those who stay in the Brantley-designed rooms. The take-home art — a hoodie, tote, candle, mug and more — is adorned with the artist’s newest “Away We Go” characters.

Beyond traditional mediums, the painter and sculptor has teamed with brands like Mitchell & Ness, Adidas, Legos, Hublot and Nike on limited product runs. While the “Away We Go” gift bag only comes with a qualifying Andaz stay, some of Brantley’s artwork and past collaborations are available for purchase online. See below for a few favorites
