No one was seriously inured.
The fact that no one should ever decide that driving while under the influence is a good idea will never change. Sadly, many people do this each year, and it accounts for a large percentage of fatal car wrecks. Recently, a woman in Florida got behind the wheel after having alcohol and sent someone to the hospital as a result.
Driving while under the influence is a horrible idea
There are many dangers on the road. However, people driving under the influence shouldn’t be one. According to WFLA, Flor Tulia Perez Roblero, 45, was driving a Dodge Caravan on December 25th at around 2:30 am. However, the story becomes strange when you learn that she was driving her van the wrong way down the highway. Sadly, she ended up crashing into another vehicle.
Of course, police and emergency responders were called to the crash scene. The victim, a 68-year-old woman, and the person believed to be driving while under the influence were transported to the hospital. Luckily, neither of the two had life-threatening injuries. Still, the woman could have avoided this with better decision-making.
Following driving under the influence, the police learned that the woman had no driver’s license. She also submitted to a breathalyzer and ended up blowing a 0.108, which is well over the legal limit for blood alcohol content. Of course, the police arrested her and charged her with DUI involving injury and no valid driver’s license. There have been far worse car accidents involving people under the influence, so this story should serve as a cautionary tale about sound decision-making. It’s always best to call a friend or a rideshare if you’ve been drinking and need transportation. This is among the biggest causes of car wrecks.
