A drunk Ohio woman went for a wild night out and woke up behind bars. She ran over a mailbox with her SUV around 2 AM on Engle Road, just south of Snow Road.

A concerned citizen called the police after the crash and said the driver was falling outside of the SUV. When they arrived, she was stumbling around the front of the SUV, which was stopped in the middle of someone’s front yard.

According to Cleveland, officers had to grab her coat to help her maintain her balance. She smelled of alcohol and exhibited slurred speech. Then she admitted to drinking beers and taking shots of whisky.

She also admitted to taking Ambien, a sleep medication, and Trazodone for depression. When combined, the meds may cause confusion and dizziness. Adding alcohol only worsens the impacts.

Tensions rose as police officers questioned her about the incident, but her answers weren’t making sense. She had no idea where she was and claimed that she wasn’t hurt and didn’t need paramedics to check her out.

After failing sobriety tests she became frustrated and started pushing police officers away. She struck one in the chest with an open palm.

She tried to gather her things and declared that she was leaving before hitting police officers again. But despite her efforts to leave, she was placed in handcuffs and taken to Strongsville jail.

Her information hasn’t been released as there is an ongoing investigation into the incident.
