31-year-old drunk driver is facing charges after evading a traffic stop and sending a man to the hospital

Luckily the victim is okay!

Driving under the influence is one of the most dangerous things a person can do. Not only does it cause several car wrecks each year, but this destructive decision also takes many lives. Recently, a 31-year-old decided to drive while drunk, and now a man is in the hospital. Of course, he tried to evade a traffic stop after the incident. Luckily, he’s in stable condition, but this could have all been avoided.

Not only did this person decide to drive while under the influence, but they caused car wrecks

As mentioned, driving while under the influence is the cause of several car wrecks each year. According to WHEC, this recently happened in New York following a Bills game. The report says that the accident happened at 7:45 pm on December 22nd. Sadly, it was so bad that the victim had to be taken to the hospital. Of course, the police later tried to conduct a traffic stop on the driver, but he refused.

Of course, the police at the scene pursued the person suspected to be driving while under the influence for a while. The chase didn’t last very long as traffic got in the man’s way and made it easier for the police to catch up. Once they did, the police placed the man into handcuffs due to the accident, as well as leaving the scene before law enforcement could intervene. The victim was a 39-year-old man from Rochester.

Following the traffic stop, police charged the man who decided to drive while under the influence with DUI, as well as leaving the scene of a personal injury crash. Luckily, the victim was in stable condition at the time of original reporting. It’s unclear if the driver had any prior instances of driving under the influence, but hopefully, this serves as a reminder that this dangerous decision is never a good idea.
