He even search the woman for cash before driving off.
Anyone can become a victim of car theft at any time. However, most don’t assume it’ll occur in times of duress. Sadly, this happened recently in Tennessee when someone had a medical emergency, and it seemed like help had arrived. Instead, the pretend Good Samaritan drove off in their truck and left them injured. Now, their vehicle is missing, and police are searching for the man.

The man is now at large for car theft
According to WREG, an elderly woman and man in Tennessee were out running errands on December 17th. However, when they were out, the woman suffered a medical emergency while the man had gone into a store. In fact, the surveillance footage shows the woman unresponsive on the side of the road. Then, a man in a red hoodie pretended to help as he was walking by. However, he had every intention of committing car theft instead of helping.
Later, the woman’s husband returned. The footage shows him trying to put her in the passenger’s seat of their pickup truck. Sadly, this is when the car theft happened, as the man in the hoodie got into the truck and drove off. Of course, the movement of the vehicle knocked the elderly couple to the ground, causing injuries to both. The wife was even hospitalized for a short time. Notably, she had a stroke earlier this year and had not fully recovered.
It should also be noted that before the car theft, the woman said that the man in the hoodie patted her down to see if she had any valuables. Police are currently looking for the man in hopes of bringing him to justice. The truck he stole from them is a 1991 GMC pickup. The report says it has Tennessee tags.
