Around-the-World Cruises: Everything Travelers Need to Know About These Epic Voyages

Cunard’s Queen Anne, launched in 2024, is an Art Deco masterpiece relying on inspiration from Cunard’s 175 years of experience in oceangoing design and service. Around-the-world fares start at $15,039; suites in the Cunard Grills category, with dining in the Princess Grill or Queen’s Grill restaurants, start at $47,769.

Princess Cruises

Most world cruises departing from North America head to sea in January, but in 2026 Princess Cruises will be offering 114-day World Cruises during the northern summer. Departing in early May from Auckland, New Zealand; or Sydney or Brisbane, Australia (mid-autumn in the Southern Hemisphere), the sailings are timed to arrive in Western and Northern Europe during the peak of summer, promising endless sunny days.

This world cruise also has a number of long stretches of sea days for cruisers who prefer time to unwind and enjoy the amenities of the ship, Crown Princess. Some of the longer ocean crossings, like Brisbane to Bali and Colombo, Sri Lanka to Aqaba, Jordan will take a week or longer, while three other ocean crossings are at least four days. Inside cabins start at $17,969 per passenger or from $22,406 for Princess Plus fares, which includes beverages, Wi-Fi, and onboard gratuities.

Crystal

Crystal’s land partnerships with parent company Abercrombie & Kent are front and center during this 135-night sailing departing from Los Angeles on January 11 onboard the Crystal Serenity—newly outfitted with an outpost of the celebrated carnivore temple Beefbar along with a new casino by Casino de Monte-Carlo.

The 135-night sailing will call at 71 ports in 27 countries, including an overnight in Nuku Hiva in the Marquesas Islands, which was just added to the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2024. The sailing will also overnight in 10 other ports, including Papeete, Auckland, Cairns, Bali, Manila, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok (Laem Chabang), Singapore, and Mumbai, before ending in Rome.

Guests booking Crystal’s full-length world cruise will receive included business class airfare, $1,500 shipboard credit, luggage valet, and airport transfers. Fares start at $69,120 per passenger based on double occupancy in an Ocean View Deluxe stateroom.

Regent’s luxury world cruises tend to sell out far in advance.

Regent Seven Seas

Regent Seven Seas Cruises has suites available for their 2027 world cruise for booking—but the top-tier categories have already sold out. It will be the first year a larger Explorer Class ship, the Seven Seas Splendor, will undertake the world voyage, calling at 71 ports en route from Miami to New York in January 2027.
