There was an 8% YoY growth across the charts where Bajaj Auto Dec 2024 YTD aspect is concerned (April 2024 to December 2024)
One of India’s leading 2W and 3W vehicle manufacturers, Bajaj Auto, has closed the sales accounts for the month of December 2024 with a slight drop in domestic sales and a sizeable growth in updates. The month marked a significant importance for the brand as we saw the launch of the best-ever version of Chetak 35 Series electric scooter.
Bajaj Auto Dec 2024 Sales
In the month of December 2024, Bajaj Auto sold a total of 2,72,173 two-wheelers and 50,952 CVs for a grand total of 3,23,125 units. The company stayed vastly consistent in this aspect, but witnessed a minor 1% de-growth YoY when compared to 3,26,806 grand total units sold in December 2023.
Breaking up the numbers, Bajaj sold 1,28,335 two-wheelers in the domestic market, registering a 19% YoY decline when compared to 1,58,370 units sold a year ago. Bajaj’s two-wheeler exports clocked 1,43,838 units, which is more than what Bajaj sold in India. Also, company’s exports are thriving with 15% YoY growth when opposed to Dec 2023’s 1,24,631 units.
In total, Bajaj pushed out 2,72,173 units of motorcycles and scooters from the assembly lines and registered a 4% decline YoY in total two-wheeler sales when compared to 2,83,001 units sold last year.
Company’s total CV sales leaned more towards the domestic market at 34,085 units sold last month. When compared to the 32,549 units sold last year. Company’s growth in CV exports was 10X more than domestic market at 50% YoY growth with 16,867 units shipped, as opposed to last year’s 11,256 units.
In total, Bajaj Auto shipped 50,952 units to export markets and registered 16% YoY growth. Bajaj’s total sales (2W + CV) stood at 1,62,420 units in domestic market with a 15% YoY decline and 160,705 units in export markets with an 18% YoY growth. That sums up to 3,23,125 in total, with a 1% decline in sale YoY.
Bajaj YTD Sales
If we look at Bajaj Auto’s sales prospect in YTD aspect (April 2024 to December 2024), we can see that the company has outdone itself when compared to the same period a year ago (April 2023 to December 2023). There was YoY growth in YTD aspect across two-wheelers and CVs along with both domestic and exports.
The company clocked a total of 30,38,746 units of two-wheelers (Domestic + Exports) with 8% YoY growth, 5,09,286 units of CVs (Domestic + Exports) also with an 8% YoY growth. 8% YoY growth was also observed with Bajaj’s total YTD sales (2W + CV), which stood at 35,48,032 units as opposed to 32,82,357 units from last year.
