In partnership with Qingdao Urban Construction Group, Hilton has announced that it will open a new Motto by Hilton hotel in Qingdao, China. The move marks Hilton’s first Motto brand expansion into mainland China. The Motto by Hilton Qingdao Zhanqiao is set to open in June 2026, adding to Hilton’s lifestyle brand presence in Asia Pacific.
The hotel will feature 100 rooms and aims to offer guests a unique urban experience, enabling them to explore Qingdao’s vibrant cityscape. The hotel’s design will reflect the local neighborhood, with spaces encouraging social interaction and exploration.

Qingdao has recently revitalized its historic district, turning it into a hub for younger audiences. The new hotel will be located within this district. The Motto by Hilton Qingdao Zhanqiao will offer communal spaces such as a lobby, a signature restaurant, and a cafe serving locally inspired brews. The property is conveniently located near Qingdao’s iconic Zhanqiao Pier, academic institutions, parks, museums, and shopping areas.

Motto by Hilton aims to offer dynamic stays with a blend of efficient guest rooms, active social spaces, and locally inspired design and food options. The brand operates eight properties worldwide, with more than 20 additional hotels in the pipeline.
