Biotech firm says it’s revived dire wolf 13,000 years after extinction

Dallas-based biotech company Colossal says they’ve resurrected the giant Ice Age dire wolf species made famous on the television series “Game of Thrones” through a process called de-extinction. The company recreated the dire wolves’ genome using extremely advanced genetic editing technologies that could shape the future of the ecosystem and make extinction a thing of the past.
