The likes of Cristiano Ronaldo shared festive snaps on social media as footballers posed alongside WAGs and their children on Christmas Day.
Players have been settling down to enjoy the day, though many will be in training too ahead of a chaotic period post-Christmas with a number of games taking place all over the world.
Defending Premier League champions Manchester City will be among the teams in action on Boxing Day, with there eight games in total before two more – Brighton versus Brentford and Arsenal versus Ipswich – take place on December 27.
But alongside some trips to the training ground, players have posed alongside their families for social media posts to show fans how they are spending Christmas.
Fronting the festivities was Ronaldo, who shared a post online to his 645million Instagram followers as he sat alongside model wife Georgina Rodriguez and his five children, all wearing matching pyjamas.
The caption read: ‘The most important part of Christmas,’ accompanied by a Christmas tree emoji.
