Monday, December 23 came and went without a new episode of NCIS Season 22. Considering it has been a week since NCIS Season 22 Episode 9 was released, fans have been wondering why Episode 10 was not released. Is the show on a break? When will NCIS return?
Here are your questions answered.
Why NCIS Season 22 Episode 10 did not air on Monday, December 23
NCIS Season 22 Episode 10 did not air on Monday, December 23 because the series has gone on a mid-season break.
This kind of break is not unusual for TV shows as they often take many breaks during the scheduling of their episodes to ensure that the season lasts until May, which is typically the month when season finales air.
Season 22 last went on a break on November 11, 2024, following the release of its fifth episode, not airing a new episode on November 18. Instead, CBS decided to air a rerun of Season 21 Episode 8, titled “Heartless.” This episode saw Alden Parker and his MCRT team investigate the murder and abduction of Erik Harper, a prominent Naval surgeon.
Season 22 Episode 9, “Humbug,” saw Parker and the MCRT solve a case involving a tell-all book that threatened to ruin a highly respected Marine named Hastings. The team eventually solved the case, learning that the tell-all book’s author, Samuel Cross, harbored a grudge against Hastings for his brother Evan’s death during the 2010 Taliban invasion of Afghanistan. After concluding that Hastings was not really at fault, they had him and Cross clear the misunderstanding and reconcile.
When will NCIS Season 22 Episode 10 be released?
NCIS Season 22 Episode 10 will be released on January 27, 2025.
Don McGill and Donald P. Bellisario created the series and the current iteration of the show’s cast includes Gary Cole, Sean Murray, Brian Dietzen, Katrina Law, Wilmer Valderrama, Diona Reasonover, and Roscoe “Rocky” Carroll.
NCIS Season 22 is currently streaming on Paramount Plus, where the prequel series NCIS: Origins also streams.
