Partey set to leave Arsenal on a free

Arsenal have decided against extending the contract of midfielder Thomas Partey beyond June 30, according to Sacha Tavolieri.

The Ghanaian star has been in fantastic form for the Gunners this campaign and he has received plenty of plaudits from the faithful.

Despite this, the club have no plans of renewing his contract and he is expected to leave on a free transfer when the season ends.

Partey has been injury-prone for part of his Gunners career and the hierarchy seem reluctant on handing him a new long-term deal.

Atletico Madrid are interested in re-signing Partey on a three-year deal, but he could pursue a new challenge away from Europe.

The 31-year-old is on the radar of multiple Saudi Pro League clubs and could be tempted to secure a big payday in the Middle East.

Alongside Partey, Jorginho is expected to leave the Gunners when his contract expires at the end of June. He is likely to join Flamengo.
