Florence Pugh recently opened up about her love life, and why, after a recent break-up, she’s choosing to keep it out of the spotlight nowadays.
What did Florence Pugh say about her new relationship?
Speaking to Harpers Bazaar in a new interview, Pugh revealed that, during the filming of the 2022 drama We Live in Time, she was on a journey to taking over her romantic life. After her break-up with actor/director Zach Braff in 2022, Pugh entered another relationship that ended poorly, spurring her to decide to help herself in the future.
“It was a scary break-up,” Pugh said of her relationship following the one with Braff. “And I think that movie forced me to realize I can’t wait for people any more. I can’t accept this version of love. I have to help myself.”
As for her current prospects, Pugh says that she’s in a relationship and in love now, but is approaching this one much differently than the last few.
“I’m more sympathetic to the people who are in love with me, because it’s not easy! I’m tricky – I’m always busy, I can never make dates,” said Pugh. “But it’s not good enough for me to ask someone to just accept that. I’ll just end up alone. I don’t want that – I want a family.”
Pugh can next be seen in Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts*, and is also set to appear in Denis Villeneueve’s third Dune movie, Dune: Messiah.
