According to Turin-based outlet Tuttosport, Juventus are interested in taking Joshua Zirkzee on loan from Manchester United in January.
The Netherlands international joined United this summer after a fantastic season at Bologna, and the 20-time English champions agreed to pay over €40 million to secure his services on a five-year contract. However, the 23-year-old hasn’t quite hit the levels expected early on, with just one goal and two assists in 17 matches across all competitions.
Zirkzee is obviously not yet ready to shine in the Premier League, and at United they believe a loan away from the club, providing it secures regular game-time, would be beneficial for his development.
Juventus, who are said to be on the lookout for a new partner for Dusan Vlahovic in attack, are ready to take advantage of the situation. They would apparently be willing to cover his wages fully, which currently amount to a figure of around €3.5 million per season.
