May December’s Charles Melton and Companion’s Sophie Thatcher will be starring in a new movie from Drive and The Neon Demon director, Nicolas Winding Refn. The project is called Her Private Hell.
NEON announced the names attached for Her Private Hell, though little is still known about what the planned movie will entail. The movie’s genre, on the other hand, has not been revealed yet. With Thatcher on board to star, the project will probably be within the horror terrain.
The movie will mark Refn’s first movie since The Neon Demon debuted back in 2016. Also known for directing the Pusher trilogy, Bleeder, Fear X, Bronson, Valhalla Rising, and Only God Forgives, Refn have previously worked in TV with Prime Video’s Too Old to Die Young and Netflix’s Copenhagen Cowboy.
Who else stars in Her Private Hell?
In addition to Melton and Thatcher, other names involved in the project include Kristine Froseth and Havana Rose Liu. Froseth is set to reunite with her When the Streetlights Go On co-star Thatcher in the upcoming project.
Froseth is best known for her starring roles in Sierra Burgess Is a Loser, The Assistant, Birds of Paradise, Sharp Stick, How to Blow Up a Pipeline, The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair, The Society, Looking for Alaska, The First Lady, and The Buccaneers. Meanwhile, Liu starred in Mayday, No Exit, Bottoms, Afraid, and Lurker.
Thatcher is a rising modern Scream Queen, whose credits in the horror and thriller genre include The Boogeyman, Yellowjackets, MaXXXine, Heretic, and Companion.
Melton, who gained massive recognition for his performance in May December, first received mainstream attention for his portrayal of Reggie Mantle in Riverdale. His other credits include The Sun Is Also a Star, Bad Boys for Life, Heart of Champions, Secret Headquarters, and Warfare.
