Daredevil: Born Again’s finale brought another killer Kingpin moment to the forefront, practically topping the infamous car door kill from the original Daredevil show. But it has made many Marvel fans believe that Kingpin could have taken some form of the super soldier serum before Daredevil: Born Again.
Does Kingpin have a version of super soldier serum in Daredevil: Born Again?
Wilson Fisk is not confirmed to be ‘enhanced’ in Daredevil: Born Again. But with everything he has gone through since Hawkeye, many MCU fans theorize that he may have secretly improved himself physically after his release from prison following Daredevil Season 3. While Marvel hasn’t confirmed this detail, the theory has gained traction online amid Fisk’s increasingly superhuman displays of strength.
Here’s how fans have reacted to him crushing Commissioner Gallo’s head and ripping his jaw apart in Daredevil: Born Again’s finale:
Multiple fans have speculated about Kingpin’s enhanced capabilities:
The theory began after Kingpin’s appearance in Hawkeye:
It is believed that Fisk could have used his resources to go through an experiment and become ‘enhanced.’ His version of the super soldier serum may not be as potent as the ones that Bucky, Isaiah Bradley, John Walker, or Steve Rogers took. But it could be strong enough to let him crush a man’s head without breaking a sweat.
In Hawkeye, he ripped a car door apart with his hand, got shot in the chest by an arrow, walked off a point-blank explosion, and most importantly, survived a bullet to the eye from Maya Lopez. Hence, people argue that achieving all these feats isn’t entirely possible for any regular human being.
So, while it is not confirmed, he could have gone through a super-soldier experiment, which could have made him strong enough to go toe-to-toe with the likes of Daredevil or Spider-Man in a fight.
Kingpin is set to return in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, which will possibly arrive next year. So, the truth about his enhanced capabilities could be revealed in the next appearance.
