In a recent interview, reality TV star Taylor Armstrong disclosed some details about her late ex-husband Russell Armstrong‘s abuse and their split. Fans knew Taylor Armstrong had filed for divorce from Russell Armstrong in July 2011, one month before he died by suicide, and that she suffered abuse at his hands. This information came from her co-star Camille Meyer, who revealed it on-screen. However, Armstrong has now opened up about the specifics of what took place.

In the newest episode of Investigation Discovery’s Hollywood Demons documentary, which aired on April 14, Taylor Armstrong recounted the abuse she suffered at Russell Armstrong’s hands.
She recalled a harrowing incident in which Russell Armstrong allegedly pushed her into a swimming pool, making Armstrong fear that he would drown her. She then alleged that their neighbours, a couple she was close friends with, knew of Russell’s abuse. Taylor Armstrong added that one of her neighbors promised to help her leave Russell Armstrong.
“Well, Russell was hiding around the side of the house and heard everything,” she added. “He came flying into the back yard.” Taylor Armstrong then mentioned that Russell Armstrong had grabbed her neighbor and punched his teeth out. (via The Daily Mail)
Armstrong then recalled an incident where Russell threatened to kill her. She spoke of how she once made pizza for Russell’s sons from his previous marriage, when they were visiting. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum noted how Russell came into the house, grabbed her by her throat and pinned her to a wall, threatening to end her life if she ever served his kids “pizza without a vegetable again.”
Taylor Armstrong also recalled finding recording devices around their home, making her believe that she had no privacy in their marriage.
The Real Housewives of Orange County star then recalled a traumatic incident in 2011, where her orbital floor was fractured by Russell Armstrong. This incident occurred while Taylor Armstrong celebrated her 40th birthday at The Four Seasons hotel, where the former couple first met. It was this event that prompted Armstrong, who had to get reconstructive surgery, to file for divorce.
Armstrong also noted her shock and surprise at her ex-husband committing suicide, saying there were a “myriad of things” that bothered him. “Suicide never crossed my mind,” she added.
