The time has finally come. A Minecraft Movie is out in theaters now. To celebrate its debut, the Minecraft video game has free DLC that players can download today.
What is the A Minecraft Movie free DLC?
The A Minecraft Movie DLC by Spark Universe allows players to enter an arcade solo or with friends to partake in several different activities. This includes competing in elytra races, reliving the first night in the overworld, and sneaking through the woodland mansion.

There is also A Minecraft Movie Live Event which lets players take on several challenges based on the new film, most of which see players fighting piglins. Players will be transported to Midport Village where Steve is waiting. Completing six challenges will reward players with the Yearn cape, a cosmetic inspired by Steve’s love for the mines. The event is on right now and ends on April 7 at 2 P.M. PT.
Players can also earn the Home and Menace capes for the Minecraft game. To grab these free goodies, players just need to watch at least 3 minutes of a Minecraft creator’s stream on Twitch or TikTok. A 5×5 redemption code will then be sent to claim the cape. The cosmetic is available for both Java Edition and Bedrock Edition of the game. These capes will be available to claim until April 6.
Minecraft was originally launched back in 2011 and was developed by Mojang Studios. It is available on just about every video game platform, including PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
A Minecraft Movie is directed by Jared Hess. The cast stars Jack Black, Jason Momoa, Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks, Sebastian Hansen, and Rachel House. Additional cast members include Matt Berry, Kate McKinnon, and Jemaine Clement. It is a Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures Production.
