Quentin Tarantino's Next Movie Gets Disappointing Update

It seems like Oscar-winning filmmaker Quentin Tarantino‘s next movie won’t be coming anytime soon as fans received a disappointing update regarding the long-in-development project’s current status. This comes after nearly six years since Tarantino directed Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt in the Golden Globe-winning period comedy Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

What is the latest update on Quentin Tarantino’s next movie?

Tarantino’s untitled final directorial feature is reportedly not filming this year despite previous reports. As it turns out, the Tarantino-related project that will be going into production sometime this year is the upcoming Once Upon a Time in Hollywood sequel, which will be directed by David Fincher. According to a recent report, Netflix had signed on to produce the sequel, which will reunite Fincher with long-time collaborator Brad Pitt.

At the moment, the Pulp Fiction director is in “no hurry” to do his final directorial feature since his kids are still too young to remember what it would be like to be on a movie set. Further details about the project’s plot and characters are still under wraps.

“I’m in no hurry to actually jump into production,” Tarantino said in a previous interview. “I’ve been doing that for 30 years. Next month, my son turns 5, and I have a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter. When I’m in America, I’m writing. When I’m in Israel? I’m an abba, which means father . . . The idea of jumping on a voyage when they’re too young to understand it is not enticing to me. I kind of want to not do whatever movie I end up doing until my son is at least 6. That way he’ll know what’s going on, he’ll be there, and it will be a memory for the rest of his life.”
