The injury occurred in the second quarter when Love completed a short pass to Josh Jacobs. He was subsequently tackled by Bears defensive end Austin Booker. After being hit, Love appeared to bang his right elbow on the helmet of one of his offensive linemen. This caused Love to lose feeling in his right hand. He was immediately evaluated by the Packers’ medical staff on the sidelines.
Due to his injury, Jordan Love was held out for the remainder of the game as a precaution. Coach Matt LaFleur later confirmed that Love didn’t feel 100% after sitting out the second half. In Love’s absence, Malik Willis stepped in as quarterback, completing 76.9% of his passes and helping the Packers secure a 24-22 victory over the Bears.
