Terrion Arnold Gives Update on Foot Injury During Lions vs. Vikings Match

The Detroit Lions’ 2024-2025 NFL campaign has silenced critics as Dan Campbell’s men recently finished their regular season with a record of 15-2. However, their on-field performances recently got overshadowed after the Lions’ Terrion Arnold was forced to exit their game against the Minnesota Vikings due to an injury. Many fans have expressed concern regarding the rookie cornerback’s condition as well as his availability in the remaining fixtures.

Here’s everything fans need to know about Terrion Arnold’s latest injury.

What happened to Terrion Arnold?

Terrion Arnold suffered a knock in his right foot during the Lions’ recent 31-9 victory against the Vikings.

The injury occurred in the third quarter of the game when Arnold attempted to stop the opposing running back Aaron Jones from countering. However, the Lions’ Al Quadin-Muhammad inadvertently stepped on Terrion Arnold’s right foot in the process, inflicting an injury on his teammate. Detroit’s medical staff took to the field shortly afterward and carted an injured Arnold off the pitch. 27-year-old Kindle Vildor ultimately replaced the outgoing Arnold on the field.

Despite Terrion Arnold’s premature exit from the game, it seems that his injury is not as serious as many fans had feared. In a post-match interview, Arnold told reporters, “I’m playing,” as per Detroit Free Press.

Lions’ head coach Dan Campbell corroborated his player’s sentiments by revealing that X-ray assessments on Terrion Arnold’s injury had come out negative. Arnold, who addressed the reporters while sporting a walking boot, later stated, “I had my moment where I talked to God. I just put it in his hands. And we got a bye week. We got the best trainers in the NFL and I feel comfortable and I feel like they can get me back. We are just going to put it in God’s hands.”

With the Lions clinching the NFC North title following their victory over the Vikings, Detroit received a first-round playoff bye and will directly feature in the divisional round, which commences on January 18.
