Warner Bros. has announced the Dune: Prophecy 4K, Blu-ray & DVD release date for HBO’s latest sci-fi epic drama, which serves as a prequel to Denis Villeneuve‘s blockbuster franchise.
This comes after the first season had just recently wrapped up its 6-episode run, which ended with a 70% Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes based on 84 reviews. Prior to its Season 1 finale, HBO has already confirmed that the show will be returning for a second season.

The first season of Dune: Prophecy will be available to purchase on 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD starting on April 15, 2025. The series stars Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Jodhi May, Mark Strong, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Camilla Beeput, Jihae, Tabu, Charithra Chandran, Jessica Barden, Emma Canning, and Yerin Ha.
“From the expansive universe of Dune, created by acclaimed author Frank Herbert, and 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, the prequel follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind, and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit,” reads the official logline.
Dune: Prophecy is executive produced by showrunner Alison Schapker and director Anna Foerster, based on Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson’s Sisterhood of Dune novel. Executive producers are Jordan Goldberg, Mark Tobey, John Cameron, Matthew King, Scott Z. Burns, and Jon Spaihts. It is co-produced by HBO and Legendary Television.
