Ricochet Reacts Strongly to Negative Fan Reception on AEW Dynamite

Former WWE Superstar Ricochet received a shocking fan reception on the latest edition of AEW Dynamite. Ricochet’s recent controversial actions have caused fans to turn against him in the past few weeks.

Competing in the Continental Classic tournament, Ricochet secured a spot in the semi-finals. On AEW Dynamite last week, The Hurt Syndicate confronted him, with MVP tearing up the business card he had given him back in October.

Amidst this awkward interaction, Ricochet told the faction they would see a different side of him in his next match against Will Ospreay. On AEW Collision, Ricochet defeated Ospreay in a questionable way. As Ospreay climbed to the top rope, Ricochet deliberately pushed the referee into the ropes, knocking Ospreay off balance. He then hit a Spirit Gun on Ospreay to win the match.

In the latest AEW Dynamite, Ricochet faced Darby Allin in the Continental Classic tournament. However, when Ricochet made his entrance at Hammerstein Ballroom, fans greeted him with toilet paper, signaling their disapproval. The match between Ricochet and Allin ended in a time-limit draw, with no clear winner.

Despite this, Ricochet still secured a spot in the semi-finals of the Continental Classic tournament. However, he has not forgotten the reception from the fans. Reacting strongly to the same, he expressed, “New York always leaves a rotten taste in my mouth.”

Ricochet opens up about how the AEW Dynamite fans response affected him

After securing his place in the semi-finals of the Continental Classic tournament, Ricochet reacted to the fan reception during AEW Dynamite. Although he advanced to the next round, he was not pleased with how the crowd greeted him.

Ricochet, who will face off in the semi-finals at AEW Worlds End this weekend in Orlando, Florida, took to X to express his thoughts on the New York crowd. He shared that the experience left a “rotten taste” in his mouth.

The former WWE Superstar also mentioned that while he does not plan on returning to Orlando by choice, he hopes the fans will at least show him the respect he deserves this weekend at AEW Worlds End. There, the former WWE superstar will face Kazuchika Okada in the semi-finals. If he manages to get past Okada, he will either face Will Ospreay or Kyler Fletcher in the finals.
